Patna High Court Disposes LJP (Ram Vilas) Election Writ at Admission Stage

I had the privilege of appearing before the Hon’ble Patna High Court on behalf of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Mrs. Seema Singh in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case No. 17403 of 2025 (Seema Singh & Anr. vs. Election Commission of India & Ors.).

The matter was heard on 04.11.2025 before Hon’ble Mr. Justice A. Abhishek Reddy.

With the consent of both parties, the Hon’ble Court disposed of the writ petition at the admission stage, directing the Chief Electoral Officer, Bihar (Respondent No. 3) to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 18.10.2025 strictly in accordance with law and to pass a reasoned order within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of the Court’s order.

The Court further directed that the decision so taken be communicated to the petitioner.

This order ensures that the grievance of the petitioner receives due and timely consideration by the competent authority, reinforcing the principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability in the electoral process.
